Civics - What does it mean?
- Usually when we learn civics in Social Studies, we are learning how our government works, how the different branches are structured and what their purposes are.
- We learn that as citizens we have both the right and the responsibility to take part in all levels of civic life.
- These are some basic questions that we learn when we study Civics:
- What is a citizen?
- Why do we need laws?
- Who is in charge?
- How do other governments differ?
