This was called the Independent Tour for various reasons. Clay and Kelly said it was to celebrate their being independent of American Idol. For whatever reason, it was a big success.

Although their music is different, they shared the same backup singers and band. They traded off who opened and who closed each night but always came together at the end for a duet of Open Arms.
